Hiraeth – a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, a home which maybe never was; grief for the lost place of your past.

Thorin is the uncle of Fili and Kili and heir to the throne of Erebor, a lost dwarven Kingdom in J.R.R Tolkien’s Middle Earth. Thorin struggles to cope with being the heir of a throne he cannot reclaim because of a dragon and the guilt of his family living in poverty instead of the riches he himself grew up with. Fili and Kili have lived their own lives in exile before the trio decide the signs are telling them it is time to reclaim their birth right. They are a mixture of jaded, excited, naïve, worried and outright determined. More importantly they are family.
